About Me

I’m a Dutch-born programmer living in Berlin, Germany. I’m passionate about machine learning, game theory, music and writing readable, maintainable code. I envision creating technology with an impact to progress the world to be a better place.

I’m an experienced software developer and engineer. I started programming (as a hobby) in 2010, and moved onto web development in some of my first jobs. I’ve been programming professionally since around 2016. My go-to language is Python (I’ve worked with it the most since starting), nonetheless there’s a right tool for each job. I’m happy to work with Javascript, Vue/React, TypeScript, Rust and have worked with dozens of other languages over the years.

I designed and implemented an efficient and robust data collection pipeline. The data pipeline is comparable to Amazon Glue, saves metadata on different data locations, types and necessary data manipulation. Once this metadata is established makes it searchable, queryable, and available for ETL. Made with Python, Mongodb, Redis, SciPy.

Built a powerful dashboard to extract, refine and understand the data which was collected by the pipeline. Made with Javascript, Vue.js, Webpack, D3.js, Node.
